Hi, I'm Kush Banbah. I'm currently a software developer working at FDM and contracted to Societe Generale! I work as a Front Office Software developer there and I've previously also interned as a Digital Techology Intern at HSBC.

I've been in software developement from a young age, starting with making simple riddle games on C# consoles to now building whatever feels fun and challenging. I learn new technologies by coming up with new project ideas I want to do and using that to learn new languages, frameworks etc...
Personally I'm very goal-oriented, I'm open to learning and adpating to new technologies and challenges to get the task done instead of limiting to what I'm comfortable. Recently I spent 3 months learning cloud and AWS. I also passed a certification for AWS Cloud Developer and learnt a lot.

Outside of software development, I practice taekwondo, love boardgames and playing violin. I've lived in Philippines, India and Hongkong, travelling around the country and experienced adjusting to different cultures.

Front-Office Software Developer

From Nov 2023 to Now at Societe Generale, Hong Kong

Worked as a Front-Office software developer for Exotic Equities in a large team with other developers. Worked on various applications in a dynamic enviroment working on various projects, tasks as needed.

Team responsibilities

  1. Investigated, debugged and solved production incidents together or indendependly
  2. Support team responsibilities to maintain applications and communicate with other teams
  3. Independently logged and fixed bugs in a complex chain of applications

Wholesale Digital Technology Intern

From July 2021 to March 2022 at HSBC, Hong Kong

Collaborated with IT L2 support team to write automation scripts in Python and Java for daily workflows.

  1. Created a python automation script to email teams, update statistics and assemble a daily report saving 25-30 mins daily
  2. Coded a python and java integrated app to streamline creating incident report emails with a UI
  3. Developed a python automation script to shorten monthly excel tasks taking hours to few mins
  4. Used Java multi-threading program to process 100+ MB text files into seperate, smmaller and formated files
